The Ludum Dare is always one of the best game jams of the year, with tons of great indie developers taking part and trying their hand at a new game in a short time frame. This year’s theme was “Beneath the Surface” and some of the games that were devised were awesomesauce!

Among my absolute faves was this crazy weird little entry, Wunderheilung by Konstantin Kopka. There is less to the game than the length of this review, but it’s a clever and funny take on the theme. The controls might take a few moments to figure out, but that’s the fun of a Ludum game. You play a doctor trying to find out what is wrong with your patients–and the problems are more than meets the eye.

I hope the developer does continue to develop this game. I love the artwork and the idea, and the doctor’s conversation with the patients makes me laugh every time I play it!
